MEA Allows Adding Spouse's Name to Passport without a Marriage Certificate
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has announced that applicants are not required to provide a marriage certificate in order to add their spouse’s name to their passport. In place of the marriage certificate, a self-declaration form, Annexure J, will be used. The declaration form must be signed by both parties, including a self-attested joint photograph.
